In the summer of 2016, I was inspired to write this song as a reaction to all of the senseless violence that, unfortunately, has only intensified in the years since. The morning after I wrote this song, I called my good friend and oft-collaborator Jeremy Johnston and told him I absolutely had to track it to tape immediately.
