His first steps were soaked when the river came and broke his poor father's back and washed him to sea. For twenty long years he faced all the fears his dad left him as he fell to his knees. Awoken one day to the call of his name, he went running to the voice in his dream. As the fog lifted, the words had just drifted and fell to the fathoms beneath. O River come drown me. Surround me and cleanse all the wounds in my soul. Make me a martyr to walk with my father. Make haste, now, before I get old. Her hands are still shaking. Her body still quakes as the moon begins to block out the stars. She falls to her knees and fills up her sleeves with the muddy mess. She took it too far. She lets out a sigh, her head back towards the sky as the current flows red with her deed. And as the tale goes, but no one really knows, she was swallowed up with violence and speed. O River come drown me. Surround me and cleanse all the wounds in my soul. Make me a martyr to walk with my father. Make haste, now, before I get old.
